Food is medicine
The aim of my recipes is to remove all the typical gut and brain irritants, lower inflammation, balance blood sugar levels and create an environment that encourages the proliferation of good gut bacteria. This will allow the gut microbiome to re-balance, regenerate and correct gut dysbiosis.
Food and the effect it has on mental and physical health is profound and so I think it's essential to eat a clean, healthy diet.
In a nutshell, I like my clients diet to consist of pasture raised meats, wild caught fish, organic vegetables, salad and low sugar fruits and healthy fats.
I don't ask my clients to eat anything wacky or unusual. Instead, I like to take them back to basics, less processed foods, less additives, less refined carbohydrates and sugar.
